First of all, I want to state for the record that 2017 has been crazy so far between work and the house and art. Balance and time management are the trickiest things, and at some point I will write something about the planner/calendar that helps keep me at least partly sane!

Second, thank you thank you thank you to everyone that has been coming out to see me at my art shows/fairs. It’s been a little bit of a frustrating year so far, but I’m hoping for a pick-up in the second half of the year. I added three (!!) new-to-me shows this year and cycled out a few that I’ve been to several times, and I’m hoping that shift will help me meet some new lovely people that I can share my work with. That doesn’t mean that I don’t love seeing familiar faces, though! There are very few feelings as good as someone coming up to say that they already have some of my work and want to add some more! Each and every customer is important to me though, and I’m always glad for everyone I meet. Thank you again!

Third! I’ve redesigned some of my online presence, this webpage being one of my focuses. I’m using my copious free time (sarcasm!) to bring everything back under one roof here, so this will be the “one stop shop” for finding me online. This isn’t to say that I don’t have social media accounts! Just that everything will be linked and accessible from here. In fact, please come add me on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook! I try to post there as often as I can (and every account is a little different, so you won’t get a ton of cross-posting if you follow all of them).

Finally, I’ve realized that in my down-time, when I need to unwind a little, I might have a little bit of a movie problem. I’ve been using the app for my local theaters since the end of 2015, and it tracks all the tickets I buy through there… let’s take a look:

Okay, so I haven’t purchased tickets for the second half of the year yet (other than Princess Bride), but those are the movies I’d like to see if I can. I think I need to give my budget a stern talking-to to make sure it can support this habit of mine! And yes, you can probably sense a bit of a theme there – I like my superhero/action movies! If anyone wants to chat about any of these films, just drop me a line!

Movies aside, it’s been a fairly good year so far. I hope that everyone who stops by this webpage (or any of my social media accounts) is having a good year, too. I know there are some things going on in the wider world that are hard on a lot of people right now, so please take care of yourselves. And don’t forget that art is part of that!

I’ll see you at the next show!
