Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate it!
This year I’m thankful for so many things, not the least of which is a run of inspiration the past month or so that led me to work on a printmaking project (complete with handmade portfolios). I don’t know that I’ll be posting those photos here, but it was good to really get my screenprinting material working in my work area. I anticipate I’ll be doing more of it in the near future.
If you look at some of my old studio shots, you’ll notice that I have a small bulletin board hanging off the shelving unit that compromises one of my “walls”. Unfortunately, I very quickly filled up that little bulletin board, and I had more things I wanted to hang up. I like having inspirational things out where I can see them, but I was out of room! I have a giant whiteboard, but didn’t use that quite as much, so project time! Quite a while back, I’d picked up some thick cork from American Science & Surplus (which is an amazing store for geeks and artists alike, and you should check it out if you get a chance), and with a little glue and a few clamps for temporary removable mounting, I now have an extended bulletin board area, which you can see in the photo for this post. Hooray!
To round out this update, I’ve made a minor change to the organization of the site and added a link at the top of the pages to my galleries over at Flickr. Still working on getting this site redesigned so that I can have all my work over here, but until then, please head over there to check it out! I’ve added a few new pieces under “Bookmaking” for you to see.
